    • Rural Women Society Observed International Day of Older Persons – 1st October, 2025 . Rural Women Society (RWS) observed the International Day of Older Persons on 1st October 2025 at Chumli Old Age Home, one of its key welfare projects dedicated to supporting and uplifting senior citizens. The day was marked with meaningful interactions, cultural activities, and moments of joy shared with the elderly residents. A team of officials from the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, visited the Old Age Home to observe the programme and understand the ongoing initiatives carried out by RWS. Their presence was a source of encouragement and recognition for the organization’s continuous efforts in elderly care. During the visit, the officials interacted warmly with the residents, reviewed the services provided at the home, and appreciated the dedication of the RWS team towards ensuring dignity, care, and emotional support for older persons. The event concluded with a fellowship gathering and words of gratitude, reaffirming RWS’s commitment to promoting respect, compassion, and quality of life for senior citizens.
